FAQ

FRAMING GUIDANCE

How do I ensure my frame is the correct size?

When ordering a bespoke frame online -

Simply enter the exact measurements of the piece you are framing. We will then reduce your entered size by 6mm to ensure a sufficient overlap for a perfect fit.

Recommended double check...

To fully check your measurements you will need a long ruler or tape measure.

Place your ruler or tape measure over your Artwork/Photograph. Take away 6mm from the measurements that you have entered, now make sure that the measurement is 6mm smaller and therefore slightly overlaps your Artwork/Photograph.

If it does, WELL DONE!

How wide should my mount be?

In our experience, a 70mm mount tends to be suitable for a wide range of compositions, sizes, colours, subjects, and moods.

Ultimately, each piece should be judged based on its own merits but opting larger gives a premium look to any piece.

Why do you reccomend a wide mount?

A wider mount around a piece, suggests a higher quality product to the viewer.
